🇺🇸 The kindness of strangers at #DDW2025 🇳🇱!

This week at Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, I had a truly memorable encounter with an amazing American visitor.
She absolutely loved my art and was totally ecstatic about taking home one of my painted CD sleeves—a small piece of the Netherlands for her to keep! 🎨
The catch? No Euros, no working PayPal, and absolutely no way to pay the small fee of €20 on the spot. 😅 Despite the (ahem) 'current climate' not exactly boosting my confidence in international IOUs, I just had a great feeling about her genuine enthusiasm.
So, I decided to take a leap of faith and sent the artwork to the US with her, based purely on a promise to pay later. Was this a wise business decision?
Maybe not! But it felt right, and maybe it's just another life lesson. 🤷♂️ Either way, her excitement made my day!
Watch the video to see the full, heartwarming (and maybe slightly risky! 😉) exchange!

If you're out there, American visitor, I hope the Dwaalhaas art made it safely home! Thanks for the positive vibes! 💖
